Recruiting for Security Officer
Location: Kilkell
Pay rate: £12.71 per hour
Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off night shift
Job Summary
G4S is seeking a highly motivated and professional Security Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure and welcoming environment for our clients, staff, and visitors. This role requires an individual with exceptional customer service skills, a friendly disposition, and a keen eye for detail able to follow security protocols, access controls, basic IT skills, to support our client.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a first-class customer service experience to all clients, staff, and visitors
- Act as a primary point of contact, meeting and greeting all individuals entering the premises with a professional and approachable manner.
- Manage access controls, ensuring only authorized personnel enter the building.
- Maintain the security of the building and its staff, implementing all necessary security protocols.
- Perform reception duties, including answering calls, managing deliveries, and directing inquiries.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Fire warden responsibilities.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any security incidents or emergencies.
- Ensure strict adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain accurate records and reports of all activities and incidents.
- Collaborate with the wider security team and building management to enhance overall security.

Essential Skills And Experience
- Proven experience in a customer service-oriented role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a "people person" attitude.
- Strong understanding of security principles and protocols.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Proficiency in access control systems and basic IT applications.
- A high level of attention to detail and observational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- SIA Licence is essential.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in a concierge or corporate security role.
- First Aid qualification.

The successful candidate will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. These documents may include your passport, driver’s license, utility bill (dated in the last 3 months), HMRC letter, original bank statements, an original payslip, your birth certificate, or a valid share code.
