Job Overview

To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.

Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.

To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.

Main Duties

GATE HOUSE

  • Location: Broughton, Chester, CH4
  • Pay: £13.45 - £13.79 per hour
Hours
  • Resilience - Guaranteed 42 hours per week (covering days, nights and weekends)
  • Monday to Friday, rotating shift pattern: one week of early shifts (5:00am – 1:30pm), followed by one week of late shifts (12:30pm – 9:00pm)

Due to the nature of this opportunity, candidates must be able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (CTC) Clearance - Must be a British National and have lived in the UK for the last 5 years. (this could take 4-6 weeks to complete)

Job Description

What you'll be doing:

  • Protect Intellectual Property: Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Maintain Site Security: Perform daily tasks to keep the site secure and compliant with client expectations.
  • Access Control: Manage access points, including staff and vehicle searches.
  • Patrols & Monitoring: Conduct building patrols and monitor security alarm panels.
  • Emergency Response: Act swiftly and efficiently to manage risk events.
  • Wing Escort Duties: Prevent traffic blockages and unauthorised access.
  • Drug & Alcohol Testing: Conduct adhoc testing to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Intermediate Emergency Care (IEC) - While this is typically a voluntary role, please note that if there are not enough volunteers, IEC responsibilities may be assigned as a mandatory part of the position.

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

We're looking for someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you'll have:

  • Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.
  • SIA Licence: Valid Security Industry Authority licence.
  • Must be a British National and have lived in the UK for the last 5 years.
  • Must be willing and able to achieve CTC Clearance.
  • Driving Licence: Full valid UK manual driving licence (site subject to road laws).
  • Proactive & Detail-Oriented: Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent organisational, customer service and communication skills
