Retail Security Officer (Flexi)
Location: Tesco Sleaford, England
Pay Rate: £13.47 per hour
Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
Shifts: Monday to Sunday – Flexible Early and Late Shifts Required
Shift Times: Earliest Start 06:00 | Latest Finish 00:00
About The Role
Kingdom Group, a trusted partner to Tesco, is seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Security Officer to join our Retail Security team based at Tesco Sleaford.
As a Retail Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues while helping to reduce loss and prevent crime. This is a relief position supporting multiple Tesco stores, requiring flexibility and the ability to travel between locations as business needs dictate.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular store patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Act as a visible deterrent against theft, anti-social behaviour, and criminal activity.
- Monitor store activity and respond appropriately to security incidents.
- Support loss prevention and stock protection initiatives.
- Complete accurate incident reports and maintain detailed records.
- Work closely with Tesco management and store colleagues.
- Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.
- Assist in ensuring company and store security procedures are followed.

What We're Looking For
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential).
- Own transport required.
- Full 5-year checkable employment history.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Professional, confident, and reliable approach.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Good attention to detail.
- Previous retail security experience is desirable but not essential.
- Full flexibility to work early shifts, late shifts, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Ability to travel between multiple store locations.
- Candidates must not be students.
Relief Cover & Flexibility Requirements
This role involves providing relief cover for holidays, sickness, and other absences across multiple Tesco store locations, including:
- Tesco Sleaford (typically 2–3 days per week)
- Lincoln area stores
- Boston area stores
The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel and work within a 10–15 mile radius of the locations listed above.
Full Flexibility Is Essential, Including The Ability To Work
- Early shifts from 06:00
- Late shifts finishing at 00:00
- Weekends
- Bank holidays

This is a relief position and involves supporting operational requirements across multiple sites. While the role is contracted at 35 hours per week, flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business.
