Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Security Officer role based in Folkestone. The Security Officer will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas, monitoring premises, and ensuring the safety of people, property, and assets. Daily tasks include:

- Controlling access to buildings
- Checking doors and windows
- Responding to alarms or incidents
- Maintaining accurate logbooks and reports

The role involves keyholding duties, including:
- Opening and securing premises
- Conducting out-of-hours inspections
- Liaising with emergency services when required
The Security Officer will be expected to:
- Follow company procedures
- Provide a visible security presence
- Deliver professional customer service
- Communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and management
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in security guarding, patrolling, or related protective services roles.
- Strong situational awareness, risk assessment ability, and incident response skills.
- Good communication skills, including clear reporting and professional interaction with clients and the public.
- Ability to follow security procedures, maintain detailed records, and handle keys and access systems responsibly.
- Capacity to work on-site in Folkestone, including standing for extended periods and working varied shifts if required.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and calm under pressure, with a focus on safety and confidentiality.
- Relevant security training or certification (e.g., SIA licence or equivalent) is highly beneficial.
- Basic IT skills for using security systems and completing electronic reports are an advantage.
