Security Officer

Location: Leeds

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 50 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

About The Role

We are looking for a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a stable, full-time role with regular weekday hours.

You will be responsible for protecting people, property, and assets while maintaining a safe and secure environment for our client. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a proactive approach to security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and contractors.
  • Carry out security patrols and routine site inspections.
  • Monitor site activity and respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
  • Complete accurate incident reports and records.
  • Follow site Assignment Instructions and company procedures.
  • Identify and report any Health & Safety concerns or security risks.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, visitors, contractors, and emergency services.
  • Ensure all scheduled check calls and site duties are completed.
  • Remain vigilant to potential threats and take appropriate action when required.
  • Support the delivery of a high-quality security service that meets client expectations.

You Will Be Expected To

  • Complete all mandatory training requirements.
  • Participate in additional training as required.
  • Maintain and renew your SIA licences within the required timescales.
  • Use workplace technology and systems effectively.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
  • Previous experience in a security role.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional, reliable, and well-presented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail and situational awareness.

Desirable

  • Current SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC Clearance.
  • CCTV (Public Space Surveillance) SIA Licence.
  • Experience working within a corporate or customer-facing environment.
