Role Overview
Mitie is currently recruiting a Security Operations Support Manager to oversee a key client contract, ensuring the delivery of agreed contract objectives/targets.
Key Details
- Flexible role with home working and a requirement to visit the site one to two times a week.
- Site Location: Norwich (free parking available; essential that the applicant lives within about 30 minutes).
- Hours: 40 per week, mainly Monday to Friday, with occasional requirement to start and finish later to visit the site.
- Pay Rate: £16
Responsibilities
The Operations Support Manager will:
- Assist with managing the day-to-day operations of the site through effective management of staff.
- Work closely with the Management Team and onsite staff to ensure all business-related tasks are completed in a timely fashion.
- Ensure employee welfare checks are completed.
- Schedule.
- Ensure the training plan is monitored and delivered.
- Conduct return to work interviews.
- Manage any blowouts.
- Help complete the monthly report and present it to the client.
- Assist in the recruitment of employees, working in conjunction with the Corporate Security Manager.
- Conduct disciplinary and sickness investigations with employees.
- Conduct and monitor staff appraisals. Set clear objectives, support and develop all direct reports, and ensure appropriate succession plans are in place.
- Build, maintain, and manage positive relationships.
- Act as Duty Manager in the absence of the Operations Manager.

Requirements
The Security Operations Support Manager will have:
- A full driving license.
- Front line SIA license.
- At least 2 years of security industry experience (preferable).
- Financial awareness.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in problem-solving.
- Previous management/supervisory experience.
- Good IT and systems knowledge.
