Role Description
The Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst at Yend is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. This role is responsible for:
- Monitoring security events and alerts
- Triaging incidents
- Performing initial investigation and analysis to identify potential threats to Yend’s systems and data

The SOC Analyst will:

- Conduct cyber threat hunting activities
- Use threat intelligence to strengthen detection capabilities
- Collaborate with other teams to contain and remediate security incidents
Daily tasks include:
- Analyzing logs and network traffic
- Maintaining SOC tooling and documentation
- Producing clear incident reports
- Contributing to continuous improvement of security operations and procedures
The Analyst will also help refine security playbooks and support compliance with relevant security standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong Security Operations Center and Cybersecurity skills, including experience with SIEM platforms, intrusion detection, and incident response processes.
- Cyber Threat Hunting (CTH) and Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) skills to proactively identify threats and leverage intelligence to improve detection and mitigation.
- Solid Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, prioritize alerts, and draw clear, evidence-based conclusions.
- Experience with log analysis, endpoint and network security tools, and common attack techniques (e.g., phishing, malware, lateral movement) is beneficial.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GCIH, or similar are advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English, work effectively in a team environment, and maintain a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
