SOC Shift Lead

Location: London (Onsite, 24/7 Shift Pattern)
Salary: Up to £84,000 (depending on experience) + 25% Shift Premium

We're looking for an experienced SOC Shift Lead to join a high-performing cyber security operations team supporting critical, secure infrastructure in a 24/7 environment. This is an opportunity to lead incident response activities, mentor analysts, and play a key role in protecting complex enterprise environments from evolving cyber threats.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the investigation and response to medium and high-severity security incidents.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex cyber security events and threat activity.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and produce detailed incident reports.
  • Coordinate containment, eradication and recovery activities with technical teams.
  • Correlate data across SIEM, EDR and other security platforms to build comprehensive incident assessments.
  • Support detection engineering by identifying gaps in monitoring, alerting and response processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to SOC analysts.
  • Participate in incident response exercises and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Take operational ownership of the SOC during your shift and act as the senior escalation point when required.

  • 7+ years' commercial experience within a SOC, Incident Response or Threat Detection environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SIEM, EDR, threat hunting and incident response methodologies.
  • Experience leading investigations and coordinating security responses across multiple teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a 24/7 onsite shift environment.
