Lead SOC Architect
Location: Frimley, Surrey (Hybrid, a few days per month onsite)
Salary: Up to £95,000 (depending on experience) + 10% Bonus
NOTE: Candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance.
We're seeking an experienced Lead SOC Architect to play a key role in shaping and delivering next-generation Security Operations Centre (SOC) capabilities for complex and mission-critical environments. This is an opportunity to influence security strategy, architecture, and operations while working with senior stakeholders on large-scale cyber security programmes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the architecture and design of Security Operations Centre solutions across people, process, technology, governance, and infrastructure layers.
- Engage with customers and senior stakeholders to understand security requirements and translate them into effective SOC strategies and operating models.
- Produce high and low-level designs, operating concepts (CONOPS), and solution architectures.
- Design and integrate security technologies including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Threat Intelligence, and Vulnerability Management platforms.
- Conduct assessments of existing security operations capabilities and recommend improvements to enhance maturity and resilience.
- Shape scalable, resilient, and secure architectures across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Support security transformation programmes from concept through to deployment and operational handover.

What We're Looking For
- 7+ years' commercial experience designing and architecting Security Operations Centres.
- Deep understanding of security operations, incident detection, threat management, and cyber defence best practices.
- Hands-on knowledge of at least two of the following: SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management.
- Experience developing security architectures across both cloud and on-premise environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work with technical teams and senior business leaders.
- Understanding of architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or similar.
- Experience working within complex enterprise or government environments.
