📍 Waterlooville
💰 £29,374.80 per annum
⏰ 42 hours per week
(4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off)
✅ Overtime paid up to double time

Our SOC Operator role is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our Security Operations Centre. It’s more than just a job and offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a genuine difference every day.
Job Description
Your responsibilities will include:
- Dispatching emergency and security services when required
- Responding effectively to changing priorities and incidents
- Monitoring CCTV systems and alarm activations
- Managing mobile alarm callouts and coordinating responses
- Conducting welfare checks for officers and lone workers
- Monitoring gas detection and safety systems
- Prioritising critical alarms, including fire and lone worker activations
- Communicating with customers, colleagues, contractors and emergency services
- Escalating issues appropriately and ensuring timely resolution
- Handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity

Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- The right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
- Strong customer service skills and a genuine passion for helping others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English – able to communicate with people from a wide range of backgrounds and at all levels
- The ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
- High levels of integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive information
- A flexible approach to working days, nights, weekends and public holidays
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A punctual, reliable and trustworthy approach to work
