We’re Hiring: Security Operations Coordinator!
📍 Location: Basildon, SS14 3EL
💰 Pay: £41,700 per annum
📅 Hours: 40 hours per week: Monday - Friday working 8am - 4pm

As a Security Operations Coordinator at Securitas, you'll do more than support security operations, you'll help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Your organisation, attention to detail, and proactive approach will play a vital role in supporting the security team, the site security manager, and our client, ensuring high standards are maintained across a fast-paced and dynamic environment🛡️
As a Security Operations Coordinator, you will be a key point of coordination. You'll combine operational support with administrative expertise to help deliver an efficient, professional, and seamless service. Job Description
Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
- Provide all security related advice and guidance to the business in line with company and government policy
- Programme contractual security management to include whole life accounting of information and material, promulgation and compliance with security aspects for all projects and government contracts
- Physical security responsibilities, including visitor management, security systems oversight, and the coordination of perimeter detection, CCTV, access control, and associated contracts
- Manage, motivate, and develop all security related resources
- Contribute proactively to business planning for security to support the delivery of current and future business
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor the 3rd party supplier provision of security services including manned guarding and security system maintenance
- Support all awareness, education, and training related to security
- Provide data and reporting on all security activities

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Managerial experience where relevant
- Experience operating and maintaining physical security systems, such as access control and CCTV
- Eligibility to obtain SC clearance
- Able to prioritise workload independently
- Control and handling of classified material
- Security administration experience
- The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
- Flexible, professional attitude with the ability to work under pressure
- Aptitude to coordinate and lead projects from design to completion to achieve required outputs to time, cost, and quality standards
- Strong IT skills
- Strong communication skills in English; both written and spoken
