About The Role
Join a team responsible for delivering and supporting critical customer security services, where you'll combine technical leadership, operational oversight, incident management and change governance to ensure exceptional service outcomes in a 24/7 environment. Working with complex customer solutions, you'll play a key role in a ring-fenceed leading team, driving service excellence and meeting evolving customer requirements through a collaborative and forward-thinking approach. You'll also contribute to the ongoing development of security services, helping to enhance operational resilience, improve customer experience and protect organisations against an evolving threat landscape.
Please note you must either hold or be eligible for SC (Security Clearance) and you must be a sole UK national due to contractual requirements of the role.
A full UK driving license is required due to the occasional travel required for this role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and lead a new security operations team from the ground up, recruiting, onboarding and developing approximately 15-20 colleagues while establishing a high-performing, customer-focused culture that supports long-term service success.
- Lead the delivery of in-life managed security services for UK and Critical National Infrastructure customers, ensuring incidents, requests, changes and problems are resolved in line with service commitments.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight across security services, validating service designs and product specifications to ensure solutions are scalable, resilient and operationally effective.
- Collaborate with service delivery, acceptance and programme teams to ensure new services and customer solutions are transitioned successfully and delivered right first time.
- Manage, develop and support a team of Professionals and Specialists, fostering high levels of engagement, performance and continuous learning.
- Ensure reliable 24/7 service delivery through effective resource planning, capability development and succession planning, maintaining appropriate coverage across critical activities.

Essential Skills / Experience
- Experience leading Network Security Operations or similar technical service environments, with responsibility for service performance, stability and customer outcomes.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, working effectively across customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to set clear direction, engage teams and foster a positive, high-performing culture.
- Experience managing major incidents, complex changes and risk-based decision making within governance-controlled environments.
- Knowledge of network automation, scripting and continuous improvement practices, with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and service quality.
- High attention to detail, adaptability and the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, customer-focused 24/7 operational environments.

Flexible Working
This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
