Security Operations Manager - London Portfolio

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Security Operations Manager to lead a portfolio of prestigious client locations across London.
This is an opportunity for a security professional who thrives on building strong client partnerships, leading high-performing teams, and delivering exceptional standards of service. You will be responsible for operational excellence across multiple sites, ensuring our clients receive a professional, proactive, and commercially focused security service that exceeds expectations.
You will manage a team of Security Officers, Site Supervisors, and Relief Officers, ensuring every site is staffed, compliant, and operating at the highest level while acting as a trusted advisor to clients and a visible leader to frontline teams.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary operational contact for clients, developing strong and trusted partnerships.
- Understand client priorities and ensure security services consistently align with contractual requirements and business objectives.
- Lead regular client meetings, performance reviews, and service improvement discussions.
- Produce and present monthly KPI reports, operational updates, and improvement plans.
Operational Leadership
- Lead the delivery of security services across a multi-site portfolio within London.
- Ensure all contracted and additional works are appropriately resourced with suitably trained and vetted personnel.
- Maintain a visible leadership presence through regular site visits, including evenings and weekends where required.
- Drive service excellence, ensuring all sites consistently achieve contractual KPIs, audit standards, and compliance requirements.
People Management & Development
- Recruit, develop, coach, and inspire security teams to achieve outstanding performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, welfare meetings, and development discussions.
- Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Support employee relations matters in partnership with HR, ensuring fair, consistent, and timely resolutions.

Compliance, Governance & Risk
- Ensure full compliance with industry standards, legislation, and company policies, including BS7499, BS7858, and related regulatory requirements.
- Monitor operational risk, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, resilience, and client confidence.
- Support investigations, incident management, and liaison with emergency services and external agencies as required.
Wider Business Contribution
- Support the wider operational leadership team and participate in Duty Manager responsibilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance client experience, and drive operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business to support growth, retention, and service development initiatives.
About You
We're looking for a confident and credible security leader who combines strong operational expertise with excellent relationship management skills.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience managing a multi-site security portfolio.
- Strong client relationship management experience within a corporate or professional services environment.
- Experience leading, motivating, and developing security teams across multiple locations.
- Demonstrable understanding of security operations, compliance, and industry best practice.
- Experience managing staffing challenges, workforce planning, and service delivery within a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
- Willingness to travel regularly across London locations.
- Flexibility to undertake out-of-hours visits and operational support when required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CTC or SC Security Clearance.
