- 06.30 to 15.00 - Mon to Thurs
- 06.30 to 14.30 - Fri
- 07.30 to 16.00 - Mon to Thurs
- 07.30 to 15.30 - Fri
- 08.00 to 16.30 - Mon to Thurs
- 08.00 to 16.00 - Fri
Location: Defence Science & Technology Laboratory (DSTL), Porton Down, Winterslow Road, Porton Down, Wiltshire, England, SP4 0JQ
Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a professional, welcoming, and experienced Receptionist to join our team at DSTL Porton Down. You will perform reception, administration, and secretarial duties efficiently and effectively on behalf of the client and their contractors.
You will help facilitate the flow of personnel, contractors and visitors onto site by managing security access and clearances in the main Reception. You will be expected to keep a tidy and efficient reception area, providing a professional and courteous service throughout. You will also be required to handle any phone calls and emails in a prompt, professional manner.
As a Corporate Receptionist, you will be in charge of managing documentation and ensuring it is stored in the appropriate location or system. Some additional duties will include opening and closing the building, maintaining building security, managing queries and messages from visitors, issuing visitor and staff passes, assisting with emergency evacuations, ordering of consumable goods, and more.
We are looking for someone with a friendly and approachable manner who can always remain professional, displaying sound communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate needs to be IT literate with the ability to prioritise your own workload and work efficiently to agreed deadlines.
Additional Information
MOD security clearance and DBS Standard required. To meet national security vetting requirements, you will normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years to gain a Counter Terrorist Check, 5 years for Security Clearance, and 10 years for Developed Vetting prior to the date of application. All Developed Vetted posts are required to be UK Nationals.
