Security Officer (Full-Time Permanent)
Location: Treforest (CF37 area)
Pay: £12.71 per hour / Monthly Pay
Hours: Average 42 hours per week (as per rota)
Shifts: 07:00–19:00 / 19:00–07:00 (Days & Nights, Monday–Sunday)
Requirement: Must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence and Full UK Manual Driving Licence
About The Role
Kingdom Services Group, a key partner to the University of South Wales, has an excellent opportunity for a Security Officer to join our award-winning Security Team in Treforest.
In this role, you will support a busy university environment, working closely with staff, students, and visitors to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming site.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment through patrols and monitoring
- Acting as the first point of contact for visitors to the site
- Controlling access, including opening and locking buildings
- Operating and monitoring CCTV systems
- Liaising with the client to meet site security requirements
- Completing accurate reports and recording observations
- Managing confrontational situations calmly and professionally
- Supporting the safety and wellbeing of staff and students

What We’re Looking For
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence (essential – company vehicle use)
- Full 5-year checkable work history
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional, calm, and reliable approach
- Good attention to detail and sound judgement
- Previous experience in a similar role desirable but not essential

Additional Information
- You will be required to provide a full five-year checkable employment history
- You will receive a contract of employment from Kingdom Services Group
- Pay is provided monthly
