Job Summary
As a Junior Security Remediation Analyst, you will support Cyber Tier Risk Assessment services, including Microsoft 365 Automated Policy Benchmarking and Vulnerability and Remediation Management. This role focuses on executing security remediation activities, implementing recommended security configurations, performing manual updates, and validating remediation efforts under the guidance of senior team members. You will work with security findings generated through automated vulnerability scans and assessments. Success in this role requires attention to detail, a willingness to learn security technologies, and the ability to follow documented remediation procedures. The ideal candidate is eager to build hands-on cybersecurity experience while contributing to improved client security outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned security remediation tasks following documented procedures and security best practices.
- Apply configuration changes, security updates, and system hardening recommendations across supported environments.
- Validate remediation efforts and document completed actions to ensure findings are resolved accurately.
- Track remediation activities in ticketing systems and provide routine status updates to internal teams and clients.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 security configuration reviews and implementation of recommended settings.
- Support vulnerability management activities by reviewing findings and assisting with remediation efforts.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation related to remediation activities, processes, and client environments.
- Escalate complex technical issues, risks, or concerns to senior team members when appropriate.
- Follow established security baselines, standards, and operating procedures when implementing changes.
- Participate in client meetings as needed to provide updates on assigned remediation activities.
- Monitor assigned work queues and ensure remediation tasks are completed within established timelines.
- Assist with testing changes before and after implementation to confirm successful remediation outcomes.

Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in information technology, systems administration, help desk support, or cybersecurity.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365, Azure, or other cloud platforms preferred.
- Experience working with ticketing systems and documenting technical work.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, vulnerabilities, and remediation practices.
- Experience supporting Windows endpoints, user accounts, or administrative tasks is preferred.
- MSP experience is a plus.
- Experience in financial services environments is a plus.
Education / Certifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Microsoft Fundamentals certifications such as SC-900, AZ-900, or MS-900 (preferred)
- Other entry-level security or systems certifications are a plus.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Ability to follow documented procedures and accurately execute remediation activities.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, and common security controls.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and endpoint management concepts.
- Ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately when guidance is needed.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assigned tasks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and security concepts in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to occasionally support after-hours remediation activities when required.
