About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Analyst to join Arqiva’s security team. In this senior-level position, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the company's GRC capabilities by conducting comprehensive security risk assessments, supporting compliance activities, and ensuring that security policies and controls are effectively embedded throughout the organization. You will operate as a trusted advisor, providing guidance to various teams, conducting complex assessments, and contributing to the overall security maturity of Arqiva. This role offers a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly influence the resilience and security posture of the organization.

The position offers a flexible, hybrid working environment, requiring travel to either our Winchester or London office up to twice a week. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in audits, and support the development of security policies and frameworks that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a degree or equivalent experience in Cyber Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates must have a proven track record in cybersecurity, governance, risk management, or compliance, with a solid understanding of security standards such as ISO 27001 and GDPR. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to interpret and apply governance and compliance requirements practically within a business context. Successful applicants will be required to undergo UK Security Clearance and must have been resident within the UK for at least five years.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute security risk assessments for internal systems, business processes, and projects to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Document, analyze, and communicate risks effectively, supporting remediation planning and tracking follow-up activities with relevant stakeholders.
  • Review and challenge risk findings raised by internal teams and auditors to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support compliance checks, security assessments, and control testing to verify adherence to standards and regulations.
  • Ensure all activities align with regulatory and standards-based requirements such as GDPR and ISO 27001.
  • Participate in internal and external audits by preparing required evidence, coordinating responses, and ensuring timely completion of remediation actions.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and lifecycle management of security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Provide expert guidance on governance, risk, and compliance to various teams across the organization.
  • Maintain accurate governance documentation, ensuring it reflects evolving business needs and regulatory landscapes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve risk management, governance processes, and compliance workflows, promoting continuous improvement.
  • Support the deployment and adoption of GRC tools, frameworks, or methodologies to enhance organizational security posture.
  • Integrate lessons learned from incidents, audits, and assessments into updated processes and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate risk-based decision-making and security awareness initiatives.
  • Design and deliver security awareness and training materials to promote a security-conscious culture.
  • Act as a knowledgeable point of contact for GRC-related queries and support wider GRC activities aligned with organizational responsibilities.
