About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Security Supervisor to join our Medirest team at King's Mill Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of security professionals within a busy healthcare environment, ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, colleagues, and hospital property.
As a Security Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment while supporting operational excellence and delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the security team.
- Ensure all security operations are delivered effectively and in line with company and NHS policies.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections across the hospital site.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and security breaches.
- Support investigations and complete accurate incident reporting.
- Monitor CCTV systems and access control procedures.
- Assist with managing staff rotas, attendance, training, and performance.
- Build strong working relationships with hospital management, staff, patients, and visitors.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, safeguarding, and security regulations.
- Promote a professional, customer-focused approach across the team.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a Security Supervisor or Team Leader role.
- Holds a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of working in a healthcare, public sector, or high-footfall environment is desirable.
- Able to remain calm and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Competent in producing reports and using basic IT systems.
- Flexible, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional service.
