We’re Hiring Security Supervisor
📍 Location: Southampton, SO15 0LG
💷 Pay Rate: £15.60 per hour
⏰ Hours: 42 hours per week
📅 Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (Days & Nights)

Grade: Site Based
As a Security Officer, you will support the delivery of security services at a leading global aerospace, defence, and security organisation in Southampton. The Security Officer will help maintain a safe and secure environment, monitor site activities, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism while supporting a workforce of around 400 employees. Working closely with the wider security team, the Security Officer will contribute to the protection of advanced communications, optronics, air traffic management, and maritime technologies, while demonstrating the core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.
Job Description
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
- Supervise and support security officers, ensuring training and compliance standards are met.
- Manage rosters and staffing levels to maintain site coverage.
- Monitor team performance, providing coaching and support where needed.
- Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and site documentation.
- Act as the first point of contact for operational issues and security incidents.
- Support the Security Management Team in driving service excellence and best practices.
- Ensure security systems, including CCTV and access control, are operating effectively.
- Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Lead by example while upholding Securitas' values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, company policies, and site procedures.

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:
✅ Valid SIA Licence
✅ 5+ years' Security Industry experience, including 2+ years in a Supervisor/Manager role
✅ SC Clearance (or ability to obtain)
✅ UK National
✅ Flexible to work days, nights, and weekends
✅ Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
✅ British national and UK resident for the past 5 years (site requirement)
