Security Supervisor | ISS Facility Services
Location: UHCW & Rugby St Cross
ISS Facility Services is looking for an experienced Security Supervisor to help lead a professional, responsive security service across University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) and Rugby St Cross.
Reporting to the Security Manager, you’ll supervise the security team and help ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients, staff, visitors, and contractors across a busy healthcare environment. This is a hands-on leadership role where professionalism, communication, and calm decision-making are essential.
The role
You will:
- Lead and support the security team, providing clear direction and guidance.
- Organise staffing and resources to maintain effective security coverage.
- Maintain high standards of security, safety, compliance, and service quality.
- Manage team performance, training, motivation, welfare, and development.
- Conduct performance reviews, team meetings, return-to-work discussions, and investigations.
- Carry out quality checks on security records, reports, and operational documentation.
- Respond to major incidents and emergencies, working with Trust teams and emergency services where required.
- Support clinical staff with patient escort and patient-minding duties when necessary.
- Ensure security equipment, radios, and other resources are properly controlled and maintained.
- Monitor service standards and identify opportunities to improve performance and quality.
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and patient privacy at all times.

You’ll bring:
- Previous Security Supervisor or Team Leader experience.
- A valid SIA licence appropriate to the role.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- A calm, professional approach to challenging or sensitive situations.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to respond quickly and appropriately to incidents.
- A good understanding of security, health & safety, and compliance requirements.
