Security Supervisor - Orange Shift
Location: RAF Brize Norton, Carterton, Oxfordshire, OX18 3LX
Salary: Competitive plus excellent benefits

As a Security Supervisor in our RAF Brize Norton team, you'll lead the delivery of security operations that help keep a critical Royal Air Force station safe, secure, and running effectively. You'll supervise colleagues, coordinate resources, and ensure security standards are maintained while supporting operational excellence.

What you’ll do as a Security Supervisor
- Supervise security operations, colleagues, facilities, equipment, and resources to ensure effective service delivery.
- Maintain security standards and compliance with Security Industry Authority (SIA) requirements and Joint Service Publication (JSP) 440 regulations.
- Manage shift staffing levels, including arranging cover for planned and unplanned absences.
- Oversee access control for vehicles, visitors, contractors, military personnel, and employees entering and leaving the site.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, daily activities, and hours worked, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly.
- Promote a strong safety culture, respond to emergencies when required, and report any compliance, safety, or operational concerns.

Does this sound like you?
- You hold a valid SIA licence for manned guarding.
- You have security experience gained within industry or the Armed Forces.
- You understand JSP440 requirements and SIA manned guarding regulations.
- You hold a current driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
- You have strong communication skills and are confident using Microsoft Office applications.

Vetting and checks:
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, depending on the nature of the role, you may need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
