Job Role: Security Supervisor / Controller
Working Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off) - Average 42 hours per week
Pay: £15.80 per hour
Location: The Elephant, Elephant & Castle, London

Anchor Group Services is recruiting Security Supervisors / Controllers for The Elephant, a landmark mixed-use development at the heart of Elephant & Castle. Bringing together retail, residential and public spaces, The Elephant is set to become a vibrant destination where residents, visitors, retailers and communities come together.
This is a unique opportunity to join a flagship London mobilisation from day one, helping to establish standards, culture and service excellence across a brand-new development. As a Security Supervisor / Controller, you will lead by example, supporting frontline teams and ensuring the highest standards of safety, security and customer service are maintained throughout The Elephant.

About the Role
As a Security Supervisor / Controller, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of security operations across The Elephant. Working from both the Security Control Room and across the wider development, you will supervise frontline teams, coordinate incident responses, oversee CCTV systems, and help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and occupiers.
Acting as the primary point of escalation for operational issues, you will support the Dual Services Manager in delivering exceptional service standards, effective security operations, and a positive customer experience across the development.

Duties Include:
- Lead and supervise all security operations during your allocated shift, acting as the primary escalation point for incidents, emergencies, and operational issues.
- Manage the deployment and performance of the security team, ensuring appropriate resource levels are maintained.
- Oversee Security Control Room operations, including CCTV monitoring, alarm management, incident response, investigations, record keeping and GDPR compliance.
- Deliver shift briefings, debriefings and operational updates, ensuring teams remain informed and aligned with site priorities.
- Coordinate responses to incidents, anti-social behaviour, suspicious activity, welfare concerns and emergencies, liaising with external agencies where required.
- Conduct patrols, inspections and compliance checks across retail, residential and public areas, including contractor monitoring and permit-to-work activities.
- Prepare reports, investigations and operational documentation, ensuring incidents are accurately recorded and resolved.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, development, welfare and performance management of operational staff.
- Ensure Assignment Instructions, site procedures, health & safety requirements and company standards are consistently followed.
- Identify operational risks and opportunities for improvement, promoting a culture of professionalism, accountability and excellent customer service.
Requirements
Essential:
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) Licence.
- Valid SIA CCTV (Public Space Surveillance) Licence.
Additional Requirements:
- Full 5-year checkable employment history.
- Previous Security Supervisor, Team Leader or Control Room experience.
- Previous experience operating CCTV and security monitoring systems.
- Strong incident management and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High standard of report writing and documentation.
- Customer service experience and confidence managing conflict professionally.
- Ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and leadership qualities.
