Security Support Co-Ordinator

Job Type: Full Time - 37.5 Hours

Location: Rochester

Job Purpose

To support H&T in preventing loss, the Security Support Coordinator will primarily manage all police hold and seizure processes, focusing on legal compliance. Further tasks such as gathering CCTV evidence, Fresh Desk ticketing and providing security support for the Jewellery Centre in-house security team, to ensure a safe environment for staff, premises and contents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all police hold and seizure requests from onset to completion, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records of all police interactions.
  • Provide onsite temporary security officer cover when required to support Jewellery Centre operational needs.
  • To triage security ‘Fresh Desk’ tickets, prioritizing and escalating issues to ensure timely resolution and adherences protocols.
  • Control CCTV requests and secure as per ICO guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams efficiently to ensure that the security support function is communicated effectively.

  • Confident and skilful in all methods of communication (email, telephone etc.)
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Comfortable with a varied workload and have a reactive attitude
  • Ability to multitask and work to deadlines
  • Ability to deal positively with change
  • Excellent IT skills including excel, word and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) 1984 in respect of police seizures, data protection laws and CCTV security systems is advantageous but not essential
