Security Systems Administrator - Port of Felixstowe

This position is a varied and challenging role, providing administrative support to the Port, its customers, and the Port Police Unit. Operating and maintaining the processes of the security systems, security pass issuing, and maintaining database facilities.

Shifts

Shifts will be between the hours of 07:00-19:00 and could be 8, 10, or 12 hours in duration. Between 12 and 40 hours per week.

Please note, this is a short-term contract initially for 3 months with the possibility of extension for up to 12 months.

Pay Rate

Pay rate is £15.84 per hour.

Job Objectives and Responsibilities

  • To act as the Port's primary point of contact for the security systems
  • Administer the Port's security systems for all Stakeholders
  • Provide administrative support to the Port Police Pass Office
  • Maintain statistical databases

Main Duties Will Include

  • Operational running of various security systems, workstations, and equipment
  • Security pass issuing
  • Maintain and audit statistical databases
  • Accurately inputting sensitive data

Person Specification

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in a customer-facing environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of Microsoft Office (to include Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Awareness of data protection legislation
  • Self-motivated team player
  • Patient, empathetic, and trustworthy
