Security Systems Engineer - CCTV & Access Control

Location: Mobile role covering Peterborough, London, Chichester, Brighton and surrounding areas

Salary: Up to £50,000

Successful candidate will undergo a basic DBS check

Hyde is looking for a Security Systems Engineer - CCTV & Access Control to support security systems across our homes and communal buildings.

Key Duties

  • Check that CCTV, access control, door entry and warden call works meet legal, safety and quality standards.
  • Complete property surveys and prepare specifications, reports, drawings, tender documents and cost estimates.
  • Manage contractors and monitor performance against agreed service levels, quality standards and budgets.
  • Identify risks, defects and recurring issues, then recommend clear and practical solutions.
  • Work with customers, contractors, colleagues and external partners to resolve security-related repairs and emergency issues.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who can bring experience as a Security Systems Engineer, CCTV Engineer, Access Control Engineer, Fire & Security Engineer, Security Surveyor or Project Engineer:

  • Experience working with CCTV, access control, door entry, warden call or similar security systems.
  • The ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers, contractors and colleagues.
  • A practical approach to solving problems and making sound recommendations.
  • Confidence reviewing work, challenging poor quality and supporting better contractor performance.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the role’s mobile patch.

Travel and working arrangements

This is a mobile role, so regular travel will be required across the patch. Details of any car allowance, mileage, company vehicle or travel expenses can be discussed during the recruitment process.
