Services include fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, nurse call, disabled refuge systems, and wider compliance support. The team focuses on simplifying compliance, clear communication, and honest advice to help clients protect people, property, and assets.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Security Systems Installer at SAFE Fire & Security Systems Ltd. The Security Systems Installer will install, configure, test, and commission security systems such as intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and related equipment in line with company and regulatory standards. The role involves interpreting technical drawings and specifications, conducting site assessments, and ensuring installations are compliant, safe, and documented accurately. The installer will provide clear guidance to clients on system operation, perform routine maintenance and fault finding, and support remote diagnostics and troubleshooting as required. Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and compliance teams is essential to deliver coordinated, high-quality installations and customer service.

  • Skills in installing and commissioning security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control, with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
  • Skills in reading technical drawings, using installation tools and test equipment, and following industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Skills in diagnostics and troubleshooting, identifying faults, performing repairs, and maintaining accurate service and installation records.
  • Skills in customer communication, explaining system operation clearly, handling client queries professionally, and providing courteous on-site support.
  • Skills in time management, planning daily workloads, working independently in the field, and coordinating effectively with remote teams.
  • Relevant qualifications such as an electrical or electronic engineering background, recognized fire and security installation certifications, and knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., BS standards) are beneficial.
  • Experience with fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, or wider life safety systems, as well as a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to client sites, is advantageous.
