Waymo’s cars navigate the world autonomously, but our global security posture is steered by the expertise of professionals like you. Safety is our foundation and is at the heart of everything we do. As a core member of the Global Security team, you will manage the technical infrastructure that protects our people, properties, and physical operations. You will be responsible for the seamless integration of our global security ecosystem, ensuring that disparate platforms from access control and video to communication and risk-monitoring systems work in concert. This position is based onsite in London, United Kingdom and reports directly to the Head of Security Systems and Technology.

Role Overview
This role follows a hybrid work schedule and reports to the Head of Security Systems and Technology.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an EMEA proxy to the Head of Security Technology & Systems through Site Delivery by providing sign-off during milestone reviews, security designs, and final commissioning. Drive strategic regional initiatives and identify continuous process improvements.
- Manage system health for a portfolio of EMEA sites with varying operational requirements. Serve as the primary EMEA contact for hardware failures and software outages.
- Partner cross-functionally with Security Investigations, Facilities Project Management, and local security integrators to ensure cohesive security technology delivery and seamless security systems operations.
- Conduct site security compliance audits and enforce corporate physical security standards across the region to guarantee continuous operational readiness and adherence to regional and global guidelines.
- Support Waymo’s Physical Security Investigations program in the EMEA region, serving as the regional security technology Point of Contact.
Qualifications
Required
- 7+ years of progressive security technology experience in a corporate, or large organization, environment.
- At least 3 years of experience directly managing a diverse security technology portfolio that includes multiple site types (e.g., offices, warehouses, or labs).
- Demonstrated experience supporting onsite security incident response and emergency coordination within a distributed regional model.
- Experience managing regional-scale vendor contracts and overseeing integrator performance metrics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and navigate change in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a security-related field (e.g., Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Security Management).
- Experience managing security technology for fleet vehicle depots, high-velocity logistics hubs, or e-commerce fulfillment centers during rapid company growth.
- Familiarity with physical security technology systems, including Integrated Intrusion Alarms, Access Control, and Video Management Systems.
Travel Requirements
Up to 35% International Travel.
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this full-time position is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.

£88,000—£92,500 GBP
