Security Test Co-Ordinator

Location: Hertfordshire
We’re partnering with a large, established organisation to appoint an experienced Security Test Co-Ordinator to support its Enterprise Security Testing function.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and technically minded professional to play a key role in coordinating security testing activity across a complex enterprise environment. Working closely with internal stakeholders, technical teams and third-party suppliers, you’ll ensure testing is effectively planned, appropriately resourced and successfully managed from initial scoping through to remediation and closure.
We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience coordinating technical teams, suppliers or testing activities, with previous exposure to security testing or regulated enterprise environments highly advantageous.
The Opportunity
As Security Test Co-Ordinator, you’ll take responsibility for the end-to-end coordination of security testing activities, ensuring scope, objectives, timelines, resources and prerequisites are clearly established before testing begins.
You’ll act as a central point between stakeholders, testers and suppliers, helping to remove blockers, manage dependencies and ensure findings progress effectively through triage, remediation, retesting and closure.
Alongside the operational aspects of the role, you’ll maintain robust documentation and reporting, support security testing governance and provide testing updates and overviews to executive and C-suite stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
You'll play a key role in supporting effective security testing by:
- Managing the end-to-end planning and coordination of security tests, ensuring clarity around scope, objectives, timelines and required resources.
- Assigning appropriate internal and external testing resources based on skills, capacity and individual test requirements.
- Maintaining the security testing schedule and proactively identifying risks, dependencies and potential conflicts.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure test plans are appropriately scoped and clearly understood.
- Facilitating scoping discussions to establish accurate and actionable testing requirements.
- Communicating testing timelines, prerequisites and responsibilities across relevant teams.
- Coordinating the onboarding and offboarding of internal and third-party testers in line with enterprise processes.
- Ensuring access, environments, test accounts, approvals and other prerequisites are in place to enable testing to begin on schedule.
- Providing occasional onsite supervision where third-party testing activities require physical oversight.
- Managing security findings throughout the full lifecycle, from triage and remediation assignment through to retesting and closure.
- Tracking remediation activity with stakeholders and ensuring relevant SLAs and internal policies are met.
- Maintaining accurate documentation, reporting, test artefacts and records of key decisions.
- Providing security testing updates and overviews to executive and C-suite stakeholders.
- Supporting continuous improvement across security testing processes, workflows and governance.
- Ensuring testing activity aligns with relevant enterprise security standards, policies and compliance requirements.

About You
You’ll be a highly organised professional with strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple technical activities simultaneously.
You will also have:
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent testing activities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-engagement skills, including the confidence to facilitate scoping discussions and resolve blockers.
- Experience coordinating technical teams, suppliers or testing activities.
- The ability to understand problems, work collaboratively to resolve them and clearly document outcomes.
- Experience managing suppliers and working within structured enterprise processes.
- Confidence tracking actions, dependencies, risks and timelines across multiple workstreams.
- The ability to communicate security testing activity effectively to senior, executive and C-suite stakeholders.
- Familiarity with security testing processes such as penetration testing, vulnerability scanning and red/blue team activities would be advantageous.
- An understanding of security testing methodologies such as OWASP or NIST would be beneficial.
- Previous experience within a large enterprise or regulated environment would be advantageous.
- Exposure to security tooling, including vulnerability management platforms or test management systems, would be beneficial.
- Supplier or vendor management experience would be advantageous.
- Security, project or coordination certifications such as PRINCE2 or Agile would be beneficial.
- Relevant security or technology experience gained through industry roles, training or hands-on practice.
