About the Role

£16.00 to £18.00 per hour depending on experience · Founding team of our new 11 surgery flagship clinic · Hull, HU9 2AA · Opening November 2026

Sedation trained nurses only. GDC registration and sedation training are essential for this role.

The role

You will support patients before, during and after sedation procedures at Truly Hull, working closely with the clinical team to deliver safe, calm and efficient care while keeping compliance, documentation and patient experience to a high standard.

Day to day that means:

  • Chairside assistance during sedation, surgical and dental procedures
  • Preparing patients before sedation treatment, making sure they feel comfortable, safe and reassured
  • Supporting patient monitoring during sedation, in line with clinical protocols and professional standards
  • Postoperative care and recovery following sedation treatment
  • Strict infection prevention, aseptic technique and clinical safety standards
  • Accurate and timely sedation related documentation and clinical records
  • Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, equipment and materials for sedation procedures
  • Cleaning, sterilising and preparing all surgical instruments and equipment
  • Efficient surgery turnaround between patients
  • Escalating concerns promptly and keeping the patient environment safe

Essential

  • GDC registration
  • Sedation training
  • At least 20 sedation cases completed or supported
  • NEBDN UK dental nurse qualification or equivalent
  • Strong infection control and surgery preparation skills
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable, not essential

  • SAAD course completion
  • Experience supporting surgical, implant or advanced dental treatments
  • Familiarity with Dentally, though training is available

Before you apply

Onsite at Truly Hull, Unit 8 M Park Kingston, Holderness Road, Hull, HU9 2AA

The clinic opens in November 2026, with clinical team members starting from October to support training, onboarding and clinical setup. We would ideally like you to start before opening day

Shift and rota basis. The clinic operates Monday to Sunday, 8:00am to 8:00pm
