Job Overview

Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the Northern European market segment. Supports and develops growth plans for the given market and customer base. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses.
  • Builds structured account plans for each assigned EPC and Clean Energy Project Developer, including locations, market focus, key contacts, and future opportunities.
  • Responsible for year-on-year bookings growth for Nikkiso Applied Technologies equipment aligned with the overall company strategy.
  • Annually develops a business plan and sales strategy for key accounts that ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Monitors EPC and Clean Energy project activity, market trends, and competitor positioning to provide feedback on pricing, product gaps, and competitive threats.
  • Develops relationships across a broad range of disciplines in target accounts to support account development and growth.
  • Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
  • Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Delegates authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
  • Sets an example in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
  • Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication (both written and oral) skills in local language and English
  • 5-7 years Sales experience in rotating equipment industry
  • Background in marine technology or marine engineering is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Current valid driving license.
  • Tenacity and self-motivation inspired by success, enthusiasm, drive, and initiative directed towards achieving positive outcomes.
  • Self-discipline and the ability to decide priorities in a rapidly changing commercial environment
  • An outgoing and likeable personality with a high degree of personal integrity.
  • The personality of a natural team player, willing and able to build confidence and to establish strong co-operative relationships with personnel throughout the company, customer base and with key individuals within the industry.
  • A flexible attitude to working hours which are sometimes influenced by factors such as the need to complete the job or the availability of the client
  • A very high standard of personal presentation
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience of promoting and selling after-sales support
  • Computer literacy for documents, presentation preparation, and report writing
  • Able to leverage databases such as ERPs and Salesforce CRM
  • Proven negotiating skills; exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
