Company Description

The Bill Detective is a Glasgow-based, UK-wide service created by Alex Wilson, an emergency services worker and Authorised Utility Warehouse Partner.

It helps households review essential bills - such as energy, broadband, mobile, and insurance - to understand whether they are getting a fair deal.

The Bill Detective also supports full-time and shift workers who want to build flexible extra income alongside their existing jobs, without pressure and at their own pace.

The approach is straightforward and personal, with no automated emails or sales team, just direct conversations with Alex.

Services are delivered remotely across Scotland and the wider UK, with free 15-minute consultations available online.

Role Description

As a Self Employed Utility Warehouse partner, you will work on a contract basis to help households review and optimise their essential bills, primarily through remote consultations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
