Ivory & Cotswold Co. provides premium cleaning and property care services across the Cotswolds and South West, supporting property owners, holiday accommodation, hospitality businesses, and commercial clients where presentation, reliability, and attention to detail matter.
Our work is built around The Ivory Standard, a documented, site-specific approach to cleaning and presentation designed to give our clients confidence that their properties are being consistently cared for.
We’re now expanding our network of trusted self-employed cleaning contractors and are specifically looking for experienced cleaners who can support properties in Chipping Campden and the surrounding Cotswolds.
This is not simply a role for someone who can clean.
We are looking for people who take pride and ownership in their work, communicate well, understand professional standards, and can be trusted to work independently inside our clients’ properties.
Role Description
The work will primarily involve cleaning and preparing holiday lets, accommodation, and residential properties, with potential opportunities across other property and hospitality settings as the business grows.
Depending on the property, duties may include:
- Full holiday-let/changeover cleans
- Residential cleaning
- Deep cleaning
- Cleaning and sanitising kitchens and bathrooms
- Bedrooms and living areas
- Dusting and detailed surface cleaning
- Vacuuming and mopping
- Mirrors and glass
- Linen and bed preparation where required
- Replenishing agreed consumables
- Final presentation checks
- Reporting damage, maintenance issues, or missing items
- Following property-specific cleaning checklists
- Communicating with property managers or I&C regarding access, schedules, and property requirements

Some properties will involve same-day turnovers, so being able to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard is essential. The role involves following agreed checklists, adhering to health and safety procedures, and meeting the Ivory Standard for every site. The cleaner will typically manage their own schedule within agreed timeframes, liaise with the director or supervisors on-site, and travel between local premises as needed.
Qualifications
You will be representing Ivory & Cotswold Co. when working inside client properties. You therefore need strong spoken and written English, with the ability to:
- Strong general cleaning skills, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, surface sanitizing, and bathroom/kitchen cleaning.
- Ability to follow structured checklists and quality standards, with attention to detail and consistency in presentation.
- Reliable time management skills, including punctuality, ability to plan routes between sites, and meet agreed deadlines.
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with clients, site managers, and colleagues when required.
- Understanding of basic health and safety and infection control practices in commercial and accommodation environments.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently without constant supervision, and comfortable in a self-employed, contract-based arrangement.
- Must have access to suitable transport to reach client sites in and around Chipping Campden and the wider Cotswolds area.
- Previous experience in professional or commercial cleaning, hospitality, or property care is beneficial but not mandatory.
