Overview
Thistle Couriers LTD is looking for motivated self-employed couriers who have their own van and Hire Reward Insurance to provide collection and delivery services across a variety of industries and locations through the UK.
This is NOT Multi-Drop work.
Duties
- Safely operate your own van vehicle to deliver items to various destinations locally and Nationally
- Plan efficient routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines
- Handle packages with care, including heavy lifting and secure loading/unloading at warehouses or delivery points
- Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, providing excellent service and resolving any issues professionally
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, timestamps, and any delivery exceptions
- Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance with road regulations
- Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures to ensure safe transportation at all times

Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices
- Valid driver’s license suitable for operating a van
- Ability to perform lifting and manual handling of packages efficiently and safely
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Familiarity with loading/unloading goods
- Strong organizational skills for route planning and time management
- Knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and navigation tools to optimize delivery
