London Central & West Unscheduled Care Collaborative (LCW UCC) is one of London’s largest providers of Integrated Urgent Care services, including NHS 111 and GP Out of Hours, supporting a population of around 3.2 million people. Established in 1994 from a GP cooperative, LCW is a Certified Social Enterprise and Community Benefit Society, ensuring that resources are focused on delivering and improving patient services. The organisation works across Inner and Outer North West London and North Central London, providing Integrated Urgent Care, GP Out of Hours, Urgent Care Centres, GP practices, referral coordination, and telemedicine services for care homes. LCW collaborates closely with commissioners, acute and community trusts, GP federations, and other health and social care partners to develop integrated services. LCW has a strong track record in service performance, patient safety, and regulatory compliance, and was the first London provider to implement a 24/7 Integrated Urgent Care service.

Role Description
Self Employed GPs at London Central & West provide high-quality primary and urgent care to patients across the organisation’s services, including Integrated Urgent Care, GP Out of Hours, and Urgent Care Centres. In this full-time, on-site role based in London, GPs assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, ensuring safe, evidence-based clinical decision-making.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Conducting face-to-face and telephone consultations
- Reviewing clinical histories
- Prescribing appropriately
- Coordinating care with multidisciplinary colleagues such as nurses, advanced practitioners, paramedics, and pharmacists
GPs contribute to continuity of care by documenting consultations accurately, using clinical systems effectively, and following local and national guidelines. The role may also involve supporting clinical governance activities, participating in service development, and providing clinical leadership within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications
- Strong clinical expertise in Medicine and Primary Care, with the ability to manage a broad range of urgent and unscheduled presentations.
- Proficiency in Family Medicine and general practice, including holistic patient assessment and ongoing management across diverse populations.
- Background in Nursing or experience working closely with nursing and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, patient-centered care.
- Commitment to Training and continuous professional development, including engagement in clinical supervision, teaching, and reflective practice.
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice and inclusion on the GP Register; relevant postgraduate qualifications in general practice are highly desirable.
- Experience in urgent care, out-of-hours, or emergency primary care settings, with familiarity with NHS pathways and local protocols.
- Excellent communication, clinical documentation, and IT skills, including use of electronic health record systems and telemedicine tools.
