Self-Employed Personal Trainer (Exercise Rehabilitation)

Location: 30 Cannon Street, City of London

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 11:00am (initially), with the opportunity to build towards full-day client hours over time.

Engagement: Self-employed contractor arrangement with consistent, ongoing client hours.

About Us

We are a leading exercise rehabilitation and personal training clinic based in the heart of the City of London. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional exercise rehabilitation and personal training in a friendly, supportive, and professional environment.

Our team is passionate about helping clients improve their health, strength, and performance through expert, assessment-led coaching and personalised programming. Many of our clients come to us with injuries, persistent niggles, or rehabilitation goals, so our approach is more clinical and individualised than a typical commercial gym.

The Role

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and motivated Personal Trainer to join us on a self-employed basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trainer seeking consistent, guaranteed morning client hours, with the potential to grow into a larger client base over time.

You'll work closely with our senior team to deliver high-quality training sessions and personalised programmes, while benefiting from ongoing mentoring and professional development in exercise rehabilitation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Please note: this role requires a genuinely reliable 6:30am start, five days a week. Early mornings are the busiest and most important part of our day, so dependability at that hour is essential.

  • Understand and implement personalised training programmes with guidance from the senior team.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with clients to support motivation, progress, and long-term retention.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and contribute to a welcoming, positive clinic environment.
  • Manage your own training diary through our booking system (Mindbody), including booking, rescheduling, and checking out client sessions accurately and promptly.
  • Follow clinic protocols for session timing, client management, and equipment care, so every client receives the same consistent standard of service.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Personal Trainer.
  • Level 3 Personal Training qualification (or equivalent) as a minimum.
  • Experience or a genuine interest in exercise rehabilitation, injury management, or clinical exercise is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the Resistance Training Specialist (RTS) programme, or a willingness to learn its principles, would be a significant advantage — our coaching approach is grounded in the RTS framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • A genuine passion for strength training and helping people achieve their goals.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, organised, and responsive in your communication — particularly for early morning starts.
  • Own public liability insurance (or willingness to arrange this before starting).
