Harrisons is looking for commercially minded property professionals who can build relationships, win instructions and develop a local pipeline of work.
If you understand property and enjoy generating business, this is an opportunity to use both skills within a growing professional services business.
The opportunity
Your main focus will be generating property inspection instructions, building relationships with solicitors, professional deputies, estate administrators and other clients responsible for property.
Inspections provide a practical starting point for identifying further needs, including property maintenance, clearance, security, valuations, management and sales. You will also have opportunities to introduce clients to Harrisons’ wider estate administration, genealogy and asset-search services.
Where you have the appropriate experience and skills, there may also be opportunities to carry out inspections and undertake agreed property works yourself.
What you will be doing
- Proactively identifying and approaching potential clients and professional referrers.
- Making calls, arranging meetings and converting conversations into instructions.
- Building lasting relationships that generate repeat business.
- Following up inspection findings to identify and secure further work.
- Working with the Harrisons team to coordinate services and maintain clear client communication.
- Keeping accurate records of contacts, opportunities and follow-up activity.
- Carrying out inspections or suitable property works where agreed and appropriate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Existing relationships with solicitors or other professional referrers would be an advantage. Experience carrying out property inspections or relevant works would also be welcome, although the main focus of the role is business development.
Working with Harrisons
You will have access to a broad range of services to introduce to clients, with the Harrisons team supporting delivery.
This is a self-employed opportunity, not a salaried position. Earnings will be linked to business generated, with any additional paid inspection or delivery work agreed separately. The commercial structure will be discussed during the initial conversation.
