Job title: Self Help Coach – Remote Delivery

Fixed term for 13 months (Maternity cover)

Location:
This post is remote based, however travel to LinkLiving offices will be required occasionally for training/meetings, etc.

Hours of Work:
30 per week (working pattern to be agreed, however Tuesday must be included)

The Service

Building Resilience for a Better Home offers supported self-help to tenants who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues


The Job

The purpose of the job is to provide a self-help service which supports people to develop tools and techniques to better manage mild to moderate mental health issues.

The post holder will provide one-to-one self-help coaching to people who could benefit from additional mental health support. Your role will be to work with each person to identify self-help goals and provide up to nine sessions to work towards these. The sessions will be delivered remotely through an online platform or through phone calls.


About You

You will be educated to a minimum of SCQF Level 7 (or equivalent) or have relevant experience, with an understanding of self-help techniques and/or a CBT approach. You will have knowledge of the issues affecting people who are excluded and marginalised, together with a working knowledge of mental health self-help resources and a commitment to using these effectively in your work.
