Car allowance: £6,000 per year
Bonus: Up to 25% discretionary bonus

About the opportunity
Via is partnering with a major UK consumer business looking for a Self-Service Analytics Manager to lead its Centre of Excellence and help teams across the organisation make better decisions using data.
This is a senior leadership role combining BI and analytics strategy, self-service adoption, data governance, people leadership and stakeholder engagement.
You'll take ownership of how self-service analytics operates across the organisation, establishing the standards, tools and training that allow teams to confidently answer business questions using trusted data.
The current analytics ecosystem is led by ThoughtSpot and includes AI-enabled analytics capabilities, with close collaboration across Data Engineering, Data Management, Product and Analytics teams.
What you'll be doing
- Define and lead the strategy for self-service analytics across the organisation
- Lead and develop the Self-Service Analytics Centre of Excellence
- Drive adoption of analytics tools across business teams
- Establish clear standards and governance for self-service BI and analytics
- Own the approach to ThoughtSpot and other current and future analytics tools
- Help colleagues confidently answer business questions using data
- Develop training, coaching, guidance and reusable analytics resources
- Improve data literacy across the organisation
- Coach business users on how to frame the right questions and interpret data effectively
- Help teams turn analytics and insight into clear business actions
- Develop data storytelling and test-and-learn capabilities
- Own standards for dashboards, reports, semantic models and other analytics products
- Oversee ThoughtSpot Answers and Liveboards
- Ensure analytics products are trusted, intuitive, performant and well documented
- Establish consistent business definitions and reusable metrics
- Work with Data Engineering and Data Management on semantic models, metadata, lineage and data quality
- Define appropriate access, certification and documentation standards
- Partner with Product, Delivery and Analytics teams to prioritise high-value analytics opportunities
- Determine where self-service analytics, centrally delivered BI or specialist analysis is the most appropriate solution
- Reduce unnecessary manual reporting by increasing effective self-service adoption
- Measure improvements in analytics adoption, user confidence and business value
- Lead, coach and develop analysts and BI professionals

What we're looking for
- Significant experience within BI, analytics or data
- Strong leadership experience managing and developing analysts, BI specialists or other data professionals
- Experience leading a BI, analytics enablement or self-service analytics capability
- Strong understanding of self-service analytics and how to implement it successfully within a large organisation
- Experience with ThoughtSpot or a comparable modern BI/self-service analytics platform
- Strong understanding of dashboards, reporting and semantic models
- Knowledge of dimensional modelling and reusable metrics
- Experience establishing analytics standards and governance
- Strong understanding of data quality, access controls, certification and documentation
- Experience increasing adoption of analytics tools across non-technical business teams
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
- Experience improving data literacy across an organisation
- Strong data storytelling skills
- Ability to help stakeholders translate business questions into effective analysis
- Experience translating business priorities into analytics roadmaps and delivery plans
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Confidence influencing senior stakeholders
- Ability to explain complex data concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
- Strong commercial awareness and a focus on measurable business outcomes
- Experience building collaborative and high-performing teams

- Snowflake or another modern cloud data platform
- Experience working across multiple BI and analytics tools
- BI migration or rationalisation programmes
- Moving organisations away from traditional manual reporting towards governed self-service analytics
- Establishing analytics communities of practice
- AI-assisted analytics or natural-language BI
- Metadata-driven analytics
- Retail or consumer analytics
- Experience supporting analytics adoption within a large, complex organisation
You don't need experience with every individual technology listed. Strong BI and Analytics leaders with experience building self-service capability, developing teams and driving analytics adoption across a complex organisation are encouraged to apply.
