We are looking for proactive, organised and detail-oriented Seller Compliance & Marketplace Operations Assistants to join a rapidly expanding e-commerce marketplace team.
With multiple opportunities available, this is an exciting time to join a growing business and develop your career within e-commerce, online marketplaces, seller compliance, and marketplace operations.
This role provides broad exposure to seller management, compliance, reporting, marketplace performance, and operational processes. You will play an important part in helping sellers meet marketplace requirements, identifying potential risks, and ensuring the marketplace operates effectively.
You will work closely with the Seller Compliance & Analyst Lead and wider internal teams, gaining valuable experience across compliance, data, operations, and seller management.
Role Overview
As a Seller Compliance & Marketplace Operations Assistant, you will support the day-to-day monitoring and management of marketplace sellers, helping to identify compliance risks, resolve operational issues, and maintain accurate records, reporting, and documentation.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, analytical, and commercially aware, with a strong eye for detail and an interest in how e-commerce marketplaces operate.
As the marketplace continues to grow, you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience across a broad range of marketplace functions and take on increased responsibility as the business expands.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting new seller due diligence and compliance checks.
- Monitoring seller accounts and identifying potential risk indicators.
- Escalating compliance and operational concerns to the appropriate teams.
- Maintaining accurate seller records, trackers, and operational documentation.
- Producing regular reports covering seller performance, orders, and compliance metrics.
- Monitoring late orders, cancellations, and customer service issues.
- Investigating operational issues and escalating them to relevant internal teams.
- Supporting product and catalogue audits to ensure information is accurate, complete, and compliant with marketplace requirements.
- Monitoring seller stock availability and delivery performance.
- Managing and updating internal reporting spreadsheets and dashboards.
- Supporting marketplace ticket management through Zendesk and other relevant systems.
- Assisting with the onboarding and setup of new sellers.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to resolve seller queries and operational issues.
- Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities within seller performance data.
- Supporting the wider Marketplace team with reporting, analysis, and operational administration.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and making recommendations to increase efficiency.
- Providing general administrative support across marketplace operations.
- Handling seller, customer, and business information confidentially and in accordance with data protection requirements.

Essential & Desirable Skills
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, filters, lookups, and basic data analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads effectively.
- Confidence working with data, reporting, and spreadsheets.
- A positive, proactive, and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.
- A genuine interest in e-commerce, online marketplaces, and online retail.
- The ability to identify issues, investigate information, and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Strong analytical thinking and a willingness to learn.
- Previous experience using marketplace or support platforms such as Mirakl, Zendesk, or Power BI would be advantageous, but is not essential.
- The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information accurately and professionally.
- A professional, collaborative, and proactive approach to working with colleagues and external sellers.
