SEMH Teaching Assistant - Reading

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs?

A Secondary SEMH School in Reading is looking for a caring and enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring Psychologists, Therapists, Counsellors or Teachers to gain hands-on experience in an SEMH setting.

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students.
  • Support students with emotional regulation, confidence and engagement.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
  • Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to create a safe, supportive environment.
  • Monitor students' wellbeing, behaviour and progress.

  • Pay: £93-£110 per day
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Contract: Full-time
