Full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant
Our client, a renowned educational institution in Stanley, Durham, is seeking a passionate and experienced Full-time SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive the personalised attention and care they deserve.
Role Overview
As a Full-time SEMH TA, you will be an integral part of our client's mission to create an inclusive and nurturing environment where students can thrive. Your primary focus will be to work closely with teachers and other education professionals to deliver tailored support, guidance, and interventions to students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation of individual education plans
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies
- Monitor student progress
- Maintain detailed records
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the holistic development of each student
Requirements
- Genuine passion for working with children
- Deep understanding of the unique needs of students with SEMH difficulties
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Relevant educational or behavioural qualification (desirable)
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Compensation
Our client is offering a competitive daily rate of £100. The position is full-time, and you will be based in the vibrant town of Stanley, Durham, where you can enjoy the benefits of a thriving community and excellent local amenities.
