Semi Senior Accountant

£28,000 - £32,000 | Liverpool | Hybrid Working

Are you an ambitious practice professional looking for a role where you can broaden your technical experience, build strong client relationships and take the next step in your career? This Semi Senior Accountant opportunity offers the chance to join a well-established accountancy practice where development, collaboration, and quality client service are genuinely valued.

Based in Liverpool, you'll work as part of an experienced and supportive team, gaining exposure to a varied portfolio of clients while continuing to develop your technical knowledge. The role would suit someone who is part-qualified and progressing towards ACA or ACCA, with previous practice experience and the confidence to take ownership of their work.

The opportunity

You'll be involved across a broad range of accounts and tax work, working closely with senior team members while developing towards greater responsibility. There is also scope to support and mentor junior colleagues, making this a strong opportunity for someone who wants to progress within accountancy rather than remain focused solely on compliance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
