Role Description
The Semi Senior Accountant will work full time on-site in Toddington, supporting a portfolio of business and individual clients with day-to-day accounting and tax tasks. Responsibilities include:

- Preparing statutory and management accounts
- Completing VAT returns
- Personal and corporate tax computations
- Assisting with bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Reviewing financial information, identifying issues or opportunities, and communicating findings clearly to senior team members and clients

The role also involves:
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Supporting year-end processes
- Contributing to improving internal workflows and client service standards
Qualifications
- Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with preparation of accounts, VAT returns, and tax computations.
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets, with the ability to manage digital records and perform accurate reconciliations.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial work.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused approach and the ability to explain financial matters in accessible terms.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team in an on-site environment.
- Relevant accounting qualifications (e.g., AAT part or fully qualified, or working toward ACCA/ACA) and experience in practice are highly beneficial.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations is an advantage, along with a willingness to continue professional development.
