Semi Senior Accountant
Due to extensive growth, Fusion Consulting Group are looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant to join a leading Professional Services Group in our head offices in Finchley, London.
We are now a Top 100 accountancy firm and the group has several subsidiaries ranging from Tax, Accounting, Legal, Financial Services and Recruitment.
Our mission is to disrupt the disjointed Professional Services space.
Job Description
Working with our team of accountants, you will be required to complete end to end accounting tasks for a range of SME businesses, using industry leading tools.
The role of Semi Senior Accountant will report directly to an Accounts Manager.

Responsibilities
- You will work with a varied portfolio of clients, ranging from sole traders and partnerships to limited companies, providing a broad range of accounting, tax and general practice services.
- Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparing and submitting personal, partnership and corporation tax returns
- Preparing VAT returns and assisting clients with VAT-related queries
- Managing a portfolio of clients and maintaining strong client relationships
- Assisting clients with bookkeeping and accounting software queries
- Reviewing bookkeeping records and ensuring accounts are complete and accurate
- Preparing management accounts and other financial information where required
- Communicating with HMRC and Companies House on behalf of clients
- Supporting senior team members with more complex accounting and tax assignments
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting, tax and regulatory requirements

Person Specification
- At least four years working within a UK practice
- Have started or are currently studying towards their ACCA/ACA qualification
- Excellent user of IT and in particular Excel, IRIS and Xero
- A strong understanding of UK accounting and taxation principles
- Experience preparing accounts for a range of business structures
- Experience preparing personal and corporation tax returns
- Good knowledge of VAT and general compliance requirements
- Team player with positive attitude
- Being proactive and self motivated
- Keen and committed to learn
- Good organisational skills
- Good analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and writing skills
