MGRW+ is a well established, accountancy practice with offices in Sheffield and Chesterfield.
We support a wide range of clients from sole traders and SMEs to larger organisations. Our firm provides professional accounting, tax, audit and advisory services designed to help businesses manage their finances effectively and achieve sustainable growth. Role Description
You will work in our Sheffield office, supporting the delivery of accounting, tax, and advisory services to a varied portfolio of clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with preparing statutory accounts and management accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, along with bookkeeping and VAT responsibilities.

The role also includes the opportunity to support senior team members on audits, compliance reviews, and process improvements, while contributing to a collaborative and client-focused working environment.

Qualifications
- Strong accounting fundamentals, including experience preparing accounts, financial statements, reconciliations, and VAT returns.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and good Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- A good understanding of UK accounting standards and tax principles relevant to small and medium-sized businesses.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to build relationships with the wider team.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to handle multiple deadlines.
- Progress toward a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA) or equivalent experience in practice is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in an accountancy practice environment and exposure to a range of client types is a plus.
- Commitment to professional development, ethical practice, and working collaboratively within a supportive team.
