Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per annum + Study Support

We’re currently recruiting for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join a growing accountancy practice with a varied portfolio of clients across the UK.

This is a great opportunity for someone already working in practice who is looking to take the next step in their career, gain more responsibility and continue developing their accounting and tax knowledge.

The Role:

Reporting to a Tax Accountant, you’ll work across a range of clients and be involved in both accounts and tax work. You’ll have regular contact with clients and will play an important part in making sure their accounts, returns and other work are completed accurately and on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
  • Preparing VAT returns and dealing with VAT queries
  • Preparing Self Assessment tax returns
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Bookkeeping and supporting clients with accounting software
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating discrepancies
  • Liaising with clients to gather information and resolve queries
  • Keeping client records accurate and up to date
  • Managing your own workload and keeping on top of deadlines
  • Supporting the wider team with ad hoc accounting and tax work

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
