Role Description
A modern, tech-driven accountancy firm in Crawley is looking for a confident and capable Semi Senior Accountant/Tax Senior to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key position with real autonomy, flexibility, and room to grow.
The role would be split between 50% accounts and tax compliance/50% personal tax returns. This role is full time, part time opportunities are available for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Compliance
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs, and limited companies
- Prepare and file corporation tax returns (CT600) and supporting computations
- Prepare and file self-assessment tax returns for individuals, including sole traders, directors, and landlords
- Knowledge of share schemes, trust accounts & tax returns advantageous
Tax Advisory & Compliance
- Assist with CGT computations and reporting, including property disposals and UK Property Return (60-day) filings
- Assist with employment tax matters: P11D preparation, benefits in kind, PAYE/NIC queries, and Class 1A NIC reporting
- Help clients navigate HMRC correspondence, enquiries, and payment/penalty matters, including reasonable excuse submissions where relevant
- Support the delivery of tax planning reviews for individual and small business clients
Client & Practice Support
- Act as a day-to-day point of contact for an allocated client portfolio, under supervision of senior staff
- Liaise directly with HMRC on client matters as needed
- Contribute to internal process improvement and use of practice tools (e.g. Karbon, Cognito Forms) to keep client work on track

- Full time position 34 hours a week or part time option available. We operate a 4-day week (Mon–Thurs) 08.30am to 18.00pm
