Theataccounts is a specialist accountancy practice working exclusively with clients across the entertainment industry.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Semi-Senior or Senior Accountant to join our team.
This is a varied and interesting role working with a very unique portfolio of clients, including individuals and businesses from across the entertainment world. No two clients are the same, making this a genuinely varied alternative to a traditional accountancy practice role.
You will become an important part of our growing team, with the opportunity to develop your skills, take on greater responsibility and progress within the practice.
Role Description
As a Semi-Senior / Senior Accountant, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients and assist with their day-to-day accounting and tax requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing year-end accounts for Sole Traders and Limited Companies
- Preparing working papers and maintaining accurate accounting records
- Assisting with Self Assessment and Corporation Tax Returns
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
- Preparing monthly and annual financial information
- Reviewing client bookkeeping and identifying necessary adjustments
- Liaising directly with clients and responding to accounting and tax queries
- Assisting clients with accounting, tax, and regulatory compliance matters
- Working with senior management to ensure deadlines are met
- Supporting and, where appropriate, assisting more junior members of the team
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience within an accountancy practice
- Experience preparing year-end accounts for Sole Traders and Limited Companies
- Good understanding of bookkeeping, VAT, and general taxation
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Confident and professional when dealing directly with clients

Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience using Xero
- An interest in mentoring and supporting junior members of staff
- Relevant accountancy qualifications or currently studying towards a professional qualification
Salary
- £27,000+ depending upon experience
Job Details
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Location: Droitwich, Worcestershire
- Working Arrangement: Office-based
Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Droitwich or be willing to relocate prior to starting.
