Tax Semi-Senior (ATT Qualified or Qualified by Experience)

Location: Havering Borough, North London / Essex border

Job Type: Full-time | Permanent


An established and growing accountancy practice in London Borough of Havering is looking for a motivated Tax Semi-Senior to join its friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in practice who is looking to develop their career within a modern, client-focused firm.

You'll work closely with senior management, managing your own portfolio of clients while contributing to the continued growth and development of the practice. This role offers exposure to a varied client base and the opportunity to help improve processes through the use of technology and efficient ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare year-end accounts and financial statements for sole traders.
  • Prepare personal and business tax computations.
  • Support clients with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
  • Provide tax and financial guidance to a varied client portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Work closely with senior management to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and efficiencies within the practice.

About You

  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
  • ATT qualified is preferred, although candidates qualified through at least five years of relevant practice experience will also be considered.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach with a genuine interest in improving processes and embracing technology.
  • Ability to manage client relationships with confidence and professionalism.
