The Role – Trainee Semi-Skilled Assembler (Redditch)

As a Trainee Semi-Skilled Assembler, you’ll train in a clean, air-conditioned environment to manufacture low-volume miniature cooling devices—a critical role in Honeywell’s precision engineering workflow.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll work with an experienced buddy and gain hands-on training in a friendly, supportive team. Core tasks include:

  • Assembly, test, and inspection of components/products as per technical drawings and specifications
  • Handling small parts, often requiring fine motor skills (e.g., working with microscopes)
  • Accurate documentation of all processes
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols and relevant legislation
  • Collaborating as both an individual and team player
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements & Qualities

No prior assembly experience is required—training is provided. We’re seeking ambassadors who demonstrate:

✔ Exceptional manual dexterity (e.g., interest in crafts, modelling, Lego, or granular construction). ✔ Ability to use magnifying tools/equipment when needed. ✔ Good written and spoken English.
